Thanks for the good wishes -- he's home, and doing awesome! :D

He eats without nausea, he walks without pain, he talks about how glad he is to be outa that place. All his numbers are good, and he seems to be recovering apace.

Whew! :D

We're off to see the surgeon...the wonderful surgeon of Kaiser (let's hope).

He's scheduled for surgery at 7:30 this morning; we're due for check-in at 5:30 (ugh). We're pretty much...out the door!

Good thoughts and vibes for Helios are much appreciated.

Well, Kaiser got moving eventually. At this time, Hel is scheduled for surgery on Thursday, Oct. 7 at Kaiser Zion.

We see the surgeon one last time -- the day before the operation, on the 6th -- and he'll walk us through the process, let us ask any last minute details, etc.
